Personal Project: From Intent to Action

 The greening of Anyetsang's Little Tibet continues...

Now that a free, feasible option for a recycling program has been determined (and approved by the owners!) at Little Tibet, it's time to move beyond words into action.

Here's the process of how the recycling program is going to be implemented:

1) Organize and rearrange the mid-front of house area to make room for two milk crates. 

• Two milk crates should be sufficient (at least initially) for the number of glass wine bottles that are generated on a biweekly basis at the restaurant. However, during the summer when sales of wine tend to be higher, more than two milk crates may be needed- we will cross this hurdle next summer; for the time being, two crates will suffice.

2) Inform waitstaff and other employees of the new recycling program.

• Discuss new recycling setup at the next waitstaff meeting. Explain that all recyclables from waitstaff operations will now be able to be recycled.
• Garner volunteers for helping me to take recyclables back to our homes, where curbside recycling is free of charge.
• Put up "Recycle!" reminder signs around the waitstaff prep area so that people won't forget and fall back on old habits.

3) Start recycling!
